A day at Camp F.L.O.
Young people learn best through action and experience. So every day is built around doing: on the water, on the trail, around the fire and in a circle with a book.

How a day runs.
- Morning: move
- Kayaking with certified guides, a hike, or camp set-up. Something that asks for effort and gives a win back.
- Midday: eat and reset
- Lunch together. Water, shade, a check-in. Counselors keep a 1 to 6 ratio all day.
- Afternoon: read
- Reading circles built on comprehension and vocabulary, with books chosen for the kids in the room. Everyone reads. Everyone talks.
- Late afternoon: practice
- A project from our social and emotional learning curriculum: naming what you feel, solving a conflict without a fight, leading a small group.
- Evening on overnights: fire
- S'mores, stories and the part of the day most campers remember first.

What they take home.
Camp F.L.O. was designed for students who have struggled with conflict or behavior at school. The outdoors is the hook. The skills are the point.

- Conflict resolution
- Reading comprehension and vocabulary
- Trust and teamwork
- Leading a group
- Confidence outdoors

Safety, without the fine print.

- First aid on site and a nurse contact on call
- A phone number parents can reach all day
- Medical and allergy information collected at registration
See when the next one is.
