Questions parents ask.
- Who can come?
- Students in grades 5 to 8. Camp F.L.O. was designed for kids who have struggled with conflict or behavior at school, and every kid is welcome.
- How do I register?
- Open the adventure you want, tap Register, fill in your child's details and pay. You get a confirmation email right away with the meeting point and what to bring.
- What does it cost?
- Each adventure lists its price. Gear, meals, transportation from the meeting point and a shirt are included. Scholarships are available on every adventure.
- How do scholarships work?
- Choose the scholarship option when you register and answer two short questions. Your child's spot is held while we review, usually within two business days.
- Is it safe?
- Every adult is background checked. Certified guides run the water activities and every camper wears a life jacket. We keep a 1 to 6 adult to camper ratio, carry first aid, and give parents a phone number that is answered all day.
- My child does not know how to swim.
- That is fine. Life jackets are worn on the water without exception, and guides stay within reach.
- What about food and allergies?
- Meals and snacks are included. Tell us about allergies and dietary needs at registration and we plan around them.
- What about medication?
- List it at registration. A designated adult holds and gives medication on schedule.
- What should my child bring?
- Clothes that can get wet and dirty, closed-toe shoes, a refillable water bottle, sunscreen and a change of clothes. Each adventure page has the exact list.
- What if it rains?
- Light rain, we go. Storms, we move indoors or reschedule, and you choose a refund or a credit.
- Can I get a refund?
- Full refund up to seven days before. After that, a credit toward a future adventure.
- Who runs Camp F.L.O.?
- Believe In U Youth Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by Usama Young and led day to day by co-founder Yusuf Young, a career educator.
